Important information about your Quick Wendys order.
These terms explain the responsibilities of Quick Wendys and the customer before, during and after manufacture, delivery and installation.
1. Quotations and pricing
Quotations are prepared from the information provided by the customer and are valid for the period stated on the quotation. Timber, roofing, transport and other input costs may change, so prices can change after the quotation validity period. Current pricing must always be confirmed before payment.
2. Payment
Payment terms depend on the size and nature of the project and will be stated on the quotation or invoice. Larger projects may require a deposit before manufacture and the balance before installation starts. EFT and other approved payment methods may be used. Work is only scheduled once the required payment and order information have been received.
3. Delivery and installation dates
Any delivery or installation date is an estimate unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing. Weather, material availability, transport, site access and other circumstances may affect timing. If a delay occurs, Quick Wendys will communicate with the customer as reasonably possible.
4. Site preparation and access
The customer is responsible for selecting a suitable location and ensuring that the installation area is accessible, reasonably level and clear of obstructions. A practical working area should be available around the footprint. Steep, soft or uneven sites may require a slab, stilts or other support solution. If a site is considered unsafe or unsuitable, installation may be postponed until the problem is corrected.
5. Inspection on completion
The customer or an authorised representative should inspect the structure with the installation team before the team leaves site. Any obvious workmanship concerns should be raised immediately so they can be assessed and, where appropriate, corrected.
6. Workmanship warranty
Quick Wendys offers a workmanship warranty of up to five years on qualifying structures, subject to the quotation, correct site conditions, appropriate maintenance and compliance with the care requirements below. The warranty does not cover misuse, unauthorised alteration, poor site choice, movement of foundations, lack of maintenance, accidental damage, extreme weather, natural disasters, civil unrest or other events outside our reasonable control.
7. Timber and roof care
Timber structures require ongoing maintenance. The exterior timber should be treated with a suitable weather sealant soon after installation and maintained regularly thereafter in accordance with the product manufacturer’s instructions and local exposure conditions. Corrugated roofing should also be maintained and sealed as required. Failure to maintain the timber or roof may affect warranty claims.
8. Customisation after installation
Do not add heavy equipment, tanks, solar geysers, solar panels, pipework or other loads to the roof or structure unless the building has been specifically designed for that load or Quick Wendys has approved the modification in writing. Unauthorised structural changes can void the warranty. If extra support is required, request it at quotation stage so it can be incorporated into the design.
9. Standard specifications and extras
Standard specifications vary by product and quotation. Typical Wendy house construction may include treated timber framing, timber cladding, a corrugated roof, a timber floor where specified, a door and window. Wall height, flooring, roof material, partitions, verandas, decks, extra windows and other upgrades are quoted separately where required.
10. Safety and intended use
The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the structure is appropriate and safe for its intended use and that any required municipal, building, zoning, occupational health and safety or other approvals are obtained. Play houses, guard huts, storage structures and other buildings must be used with appropriate supervision and risk controls.
11. Photos of completed work
Quick Wendys may photograph structures it manufactures or installs for portfolio and marketing purposes. We will avoid publishing private personal information. If you have a specific privacy concern about site photography, please tell us before installation.
12. Customer-caused return visits
If the installation team cannot complete the agreed work because the customer prevents access, asks the team to leave during normal working hours, or the site is not ready as agreed, an additional transport or return-visit charge may apply.
13. Governing quotation
If a signed quotation or written project specification contains project-specific terms that differ from these general terms, the project-specific written terms will apply to that project to the extent of the difference.
